In an effort to give every color equal opportunity, I made this Tempting Turquoise card for Freshly Made Sketches.
This is a color that I rarely use, but I have to say, this happy color really lifts my spirits..or maybe it was the glass of wine..oh, never mind!!!
I love Mixed Bunch from Stampin Up!, makes great background paper as well as adorable flowers. Thank for looking!
Valentine’s Day isn’t a big deal in my house, but I am in love with SU Everyday Enchantment DSP. Mary Fish and Mojo Monday came up with this sketch that made this “Love” card a breeze.
I LOVE making these flowers with SU punches and have a few to give away, leave me a comment and I will pick a name ( randomly) and send you a few!!!
With the Holidays fast approaching, my multi-tasking skills are getting a workout! I’ve been sooo busy with family parties, Thanksgiving travel, planning my annual Cocktail Party ( which is tomorrow night!) and, of course, shopping!Even my card is a multi tasker. It’s being submitted to two challenges.
Pals Paper Arts challenged us to “put on the Ritz” , adding some glam, bling, sparkle or polish to our card.
The girls over at Freshly Made Sketches challenged us with a simple ( but stunning) sketch .http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/
…and this is what i came up with. Why don’t sparkles ever photograph well? Believe me, this card sparkles!!! I just received a BIG box from Stampin’ Up ( Merry Christmas to me) and couldn’t wait to try my Christmas stamps. SU glitter paper shines as the background for the glittered & embossed Snow Swirled tree on Night of Navy DSP .
I finally will have some free time after Sunday and cannot wait to do some serious stamping!!!!!
SOOOO sorry Mojo! I was having trouble with Linky, didn’t mean to post 3X!! Please forgive me!
Mojo Monday (or Mojo Monthly for me!) inspired this card. I haven’t blogged in a while, but with my HE away on a hunting trip I have some quality time with my stamps! Don’t get me wrong, I kinda miss him, but so look forward to this time of year!
I am so excited, a friend of mine asked for my help with her 4-H group, showing them how to make cards. I expect about 5 girls and have been sorting through my supplies for projects for them. She asked what she should bring and I told her “nothing” as I have a craft store in my home! What a great way to use up those dusty supplies! I needed to clean house anyway and the guilt won’t be as heavy when I have to replace them.
Here’s my card for this weeks challenge:
I appreciate any comments and any advice to gain some followers as I’m still pretty new to this blogging thing!🙂
This is a first for me..completing the MoJo Monday sketch on a Monday. I wish I could be more organized and timely, but it’s just not in my nature. In my defense, running a busy farm doesn’t help either!
I have some news!!!!! I’m going to be a grand…( sorry that word is not yet in my vocabulary) or should I say my son and his beautiful wife are going to have a baby!!!! I am the oldest of 4 and this will be our immediate family’s first grandbaby! We are all so excited. My DIL is a twin and her older sister has twins….YIKES! Fingers crossed for just one….sonogram this week.
Lots of layers of Stampin’ Up’s Spice Cake DSP made this card a breeze! My best friend ( of 35 yrs!) celebrates her birthday in a few days.. I hope she likes this card. The “friend” sentiment is heat embossed in gold, although it didn’t photograph so well. SU’s antique brads add a vintage touch and the “border’ is the flower from the Blossom Bouquet triple punch snipped in half. Pearls adorn circles punched from the Spice Cake collection.
….and the mess
My mojo’s been missing for weeks now…the current sketch has found it for me..Thanks Mojo Monday! I love SU “Just Add Cake” or as I have renamed in my head..”Cakewalk”. I’m fighting the transition of cooler weather ( even though I love fall) and these bright, fun colors remind me of the summer we never had!!!My HE ( husband equivalent) said it looked busy, but what does he know? Notice I don’t refer to him as my DH (unless it stands for dumb husband!) We kid each other all the time…he’s got some names for me as well.
Those adorable pinwheels are the easiest things to make and the little bow on the cake tag is snipped from SU’s Triple Flower punch. Thanks for taking the time to read and I appreciate any comments.
I had to make one more “summer” card before I switch out summer to fall stuff. I’ll work on my closets later! The Freshly made sketch challenge helped this “clean” card come to life.
Can you get any ‘cleaner ‘ than a white card? I started with a white card, a strip of Stampin Up’ Spice cake DSP (love that Pool Party!) and my flower border is simply the flower from the triple layer punch snipped in half. I stamped off the Flower Fest images in Calypso Coral and Pool Party, and stamped and cut out the flower accents. I know the ” Thank You’ looks like an afterthought…but I was really pressed for time and that’s all I could come up with. I wanted to be outside and enjoy one of the last nice days of summer.
UGH! I need to take a photography class…any SIMPLE suggestions as to how to take better pictures?
Finally!! A sketch challenge that’s right up my alley! Clean! The girls at Freshly Made Sketches are my new friends!! This week’s sketch:
and my take on tthe sketch
The fun card came together so fast using SU “Just Add Cake” DSP, I have my own name for this collection, I call it “Cakewalk”! I love the bold, bright fun colors and the crazy prints. I’m loving pinwheels right now, they are super easy to make and I’ve got quite a collection going. This is my first challenge with FMS and I hope to play along next week!
Here’s another take on this week’s challenge. This is WAY more my style,I ‘made’ my own Baker’s Twine, super easy with Stampin’ Write markers!!
It’s okay to go outside the lines when watercoloring, right? Maybe next time I’ll wear my glasses!
Don’t these colors scream summer, fun or birthday? Vintage? …not so much. I stepped out of my comfort zone when creating this card. Vintage is usually not my style (although I LOVE the beautiful vintage cards you talented ladies create)
The background is stamped in Daffodil Delight and smooched ! I thumped Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade on the butterflies.
