Here’s my take on the PPA Color Challenge. 2 cuts from the Fancy Flower punch produce the ‘quilt pieces’ and running it through my Big Shot gives it that homespun texture. The card may have a ‘clean and simple’ look, but look at the mess I made creating it! (Unretouched photo below!) LOL
I created this Patriotic Birthday card for my nephew, whose B-Day is shared with the USA!!! Before it goes in the mail, it’s going to Mojo Monday for my very first challenge! Kinda excitedly nervous about this. I’ve been following the super talented ladies who post often and I know I’m not in the same league as them, but here goes:Stars scattered all over the card! I robbed my stash for the background paper and I knew I would one day find a use for the laser cut red star paper I bought years ago! Stanpin Up! striped ribbon and I switched up the sentiment from Fast and Fun Notes for a Happy Birthday card. A closer look at the details…I love handlining! Can you see the lined envelope in the background? I really need to hone my photography skills!
Time to jump in and get my feet wet! This is my very first card I am posting to a challenge. Okay..so I’m not the greatest photographer and my talents are less than amazing, but I know we all share the same addiction! Thanks to the PPA artists for offering that great blog candy!
One of my favorite techniques is watercoloring, so I gave it a spin on this card using retired “Doodle This” from SU, along with Pink Pirouette,Pool Party and (after I dusted it off!) Gable green SU ink. Sentiment is from SU “Just Believe”.
