I haven’t Mojo’d in a few weeks, and have to admit, I found this sketch challenging. I took some liberties with the elements and hope no one calls a cop! I love Stampin Up’s Just Add Cake DSP and have been making pinwheels like crazy lately! Hope someone likes my card and I appreciate any comments.
A close up of the details and a photo of my “craft room”( aka the dining room table), and the aftermath of this week’s card!!! We’re eating outdoors tonite.
I created this Patriotic Birthday card for my nephew, whose B-Day is shared with the USA!!! Before it goes in the mail, it’s going to Mojo Monday for my very first challenge! Kinda excitedly nervous about this. I’ve been following the super talented ladies who post often and I know I’m not in the same league as them, but here goes:Stars scattered all over the card! I robbed my stash for the background paper and I knew I would one day find a use for the laser cut red star paper I bought years ago! Stanpin Up! striped ribbon and I switched up the sentiment from Fast and Fun Notes for a Happy Birthday card. A closer look at the details…I love handlining! Can you see the lined envelope in the background? I really need to hone my photography skills!
Time to jump in and get my feet wet! This is my very first card I am posting to a challenge. Okay..so I’m not the greatest photographer and my talents are less than amazing, but I know we all share the same addiction! Thanks to the PPA artists for offering that great blog candy!
One of my favorite techniques is watercoloring, so I gave it a spin on this card using retired “Doodle This” from SU, along with Pink Pirouette,Pool Party and (after I dusted it off!) Gable green SU ink. Sentiment is from SU “Just Believe”.
Here’s the cover of my latest paper bag album (listed on Ebay later on today) and my first attempt at adding a real live picture to my blog!
I’ve been trying to think of a clever, catchy name for my blog (valaribiccum was SO original!) for some time, but everytime I get the “AHA moment” ( Oprah beat me to that one) someone is always a step ahead of me. I’m sticking to who I am and what I do. I’ve been creating things since I was a little girl, learning from my Grandmother how to sew and knit and crochet. The internet really got things going when I sold my first paper bag album on Ebay in ’04, I opened an Etsy shop a few years ago and now I’ll attempt a blog. Thank you to anyone who reads this….I think I’ll be talking to myself for a long time, but that’s nothing new either!!
Enjoyed a wonderful day with one of my sons ( the other is half a world away..protecting us) and friends and relatives. I would love to attach a picture, but just because I’m a mother doesn’t mean I can always remmber to charge the camera..click..fail! My son’s Gf took some pics and i shall rely on her to post to FB.
Welcome to my very first blog entry..yikes..what do I say? I have been shoving my daily menus down the throats of my FB friends for the past few years, helping ease my fear of public posting. But this is different, while I try to follow my own rule of “25 words or less” on FB, I will most likely ramble on and on about my crafts and cooking. That’s it for now, I’m off to put some embellishments on this blog!
